Planning Commission Meeting

The Marlboro County Planning Commissing will hold a meeting on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. in the conference room of the William P. Wallace, Sr. Administration Building located at 205 East Market Street, Bennettsville, SC.  The Public is invited to attend.

NOTICE TO CITIZENS OF MARLBORO COUNTY

Proposed Outdoor Burning Ordinance

 

Burning of leaves, trees, yard trimmings, etc. must be at least 25 feet from any structure and 50 feet from property lines.  The fire must not spread within 25 feet of structures.  Compliance with SCDHEC regulations is required.  Proper notice to the state forestry commission (800*705-8615) for permission to burn or duly authorized representative is required before burning.  Burning bans may be imposed by authorized officials.  Civil and criminal penalties may result from unauthorized burning.

Mrs. Yvonne Frazier was presented a retirement clock and recognized for 19 years of service to Marlboro County by Council Chairman, Ron Munnerlyn at the July 12, 2011 Council Meeting.

                                                NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD BID

 

DATE:            July 6, 2011

 

RE:       Marlboro County Industrial Park - MLB11-1

 

Based on a review of the bids received Wednesday, July 6, 2011 for the referenced project, Marlboro County intends to award the contract to L & L Contractors, Inc. by September 2, 2011.

 

The SC Licensing Board confirmed L & L Contractors, Inc. has an unlimited license and is classified in grading and asphalt paving.

 

Bidders may protest pursuant to the S.C. Code of Laws § 11-35-4210 (1).
