The Marlboro County Parks & Recreation is responsible for various outdoor activities for the youth in our community throughout the year which include:  basketball, baseball, softball, football, soccer, cheerleading etc.  We're proud to say that we have been very competitive on both the district and state levels.

Our softball and baseball programs have made significant strides and are becoming more competitive each year.

The soccer program has a bright future and serves it's purpose as a feeder program to our schools.

The cheerleading program is one that our schools have benefited from year after year by giving these young ladies the opportunity to display their skills.

Girls basketball will continue to be offered along with our traditional competitive boys program that produced district champions this pas season.

Football is another successful program that continues to produce competitve teams year after year.

There are several parks that are available for family oriented or company gatherings.  We do not rent our parks out for any type of profit making organizations.

Staff members include:  Gary Harrington, Recreation Director and Thomas Stevens, Athletic Director.  They have worked together to form a recreational program which is rewarding for the youth of our county.

Please remember - your child may not participate in Marlboro County Recreation events without a birth certificate on file.  You must provide one before they participate (no exceptions).

Umpiring Spring Sports

Those interested in umpiring spring sports this year are urged to attend a certification clinic which will be held Tuesday, March 13th.  Dennis McDaniel, State Umpire Director for Dixie Youth will be in charge of the clinic which will be held at the Marlboro County Administration Building located at 205 East Market Street, Bennettsville, SC.  The Clinic will start promptly at 6 p.m.  For additional information, please call 479-5632.
