Marlboro County offers ten recycling centers for citizens to dispose of their used oil and oil filters. The recycling centers are located throughout the county and are listed below. For additional information, please call (843) 479-5600 ext 19. The used oil collected is used by Santee Cooper as fuel for electrical production.

Used Oil Collection Sites:

  • Convenience Center - Redhill Road, Bennettsville
  • Blenheim Convenience Center - Forest Drive, Blenheim
  • Blenheim Rural Fire Department - Hwy 38 S., Blenhein
  • Stoneyway Station - Gregory Street, Bennettsville
  • Clio Recycling Center - Drew Street, Clio
  • Clio Rural Fire Department - Hwy 381, Clio
  • McColl Fire Department - Gibson Avenue, McColl
  • Brightsville Fire Department - Hwy 38 N., Bennettsville
  • Smithfield Fire Department - Hwy 9 west of Bennettsville
  • Wallace Fire Department - Hwy 177, Wallace

Disposal of Waste

Marlboro County currently offers two convenience center sites in the County. Additional sites are planned in the near future.

Convenience Center Locations & Hours of Operation:

  • Redhill Road
    Bennettsville, SC
    Monday - Friday 7am - 4pm
    Saturday 8am - 12pm
  • Forest Drive
    Blenheim, SC
    Thursday & Friday 8am - 4pm
    Saturday 8am - 12pm


Items received at Convenience Centers:

  • Household Garbage (Both sites)
  • Brown Goods: Furniture, mattresses, tables, chairs, etc.
  • White Goods: Refrigerators, Stoves, washers and dryers
  • Tires (no charge)
  • Limbs (Bennettsville location only)
  • Shingles (Residential shingles only - Bennettsville location only)
  • Batteries, Oil (Used) and Wood
