Planning Commission

The Marlboro County Planning Commission was created per Ordinance # 634 adopted by Marlboro County Council  and amended January 1, 2008.  Members are appointed (1) per district serving a 4 year term co-inciding with the council members term of office.  The Chairman and Vice-Chairman are elected by the Commission members yearly at the first meeting held.  Certification of members is mandated by the State.

Public Hearing - February 6, 2012

The Marlboro County Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, February 6, 2012 at 6 P.M. in the Conference Room of the William P. Wallace, Sr. Administration Building located at 205 East Market Street, Bennettsville, SC.  The Purpose of the Public Hearing is to hear consideration of a recommendation of the Planning/Zoning Departmetn to correct the name of a road known as Currie Lane to Old Clio Marion Road and to change the name of a road known as Quail Farm Road to Currie Lane.  Also to hear consideration of a request from a owner of property to change Pine Forest Lane to El Sherif Lane.  The Public is invited to attend.
